I successfully defended my dissertation!

I have accepted a postdoc at Los Alamos National Lab in New Mexico! I will be working with Justin Strait and Kelly Moran in their Statistical Sciences division.

My dissertation defense will take place on April 21st at 10am ET in Gardner 008 on the UNC campus. This presentation is open to the public; if you are reading this, you are invited!

The Mayo Clinic has decided to extend their funding for the remainder of my PhD program (through May 2023). This exciting opportunity means that I will get to do forcus entirely on my research for the next two years!

I received the SAMSI RA Fellowship for the Fall 2021 semester.

I started a virtual internship within the Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Center for the Science of Health Care Delivery at Mayo Clinic, working with Curt Storlie.

I passed my the preliminary oral examination for my dissertation!

I received funding through my advisor, Jan Hannig, to take the Spring 2021 semester off to focus on research.

I was selected to help develop and teach a course on the data science of Covid-19 for the UNC Fall Semester 2020.

Due to the global Covid-19 pandemic, my internship doing biostatistics research at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester was canceled. But with lemons one must make lemonade! I am happy to be starting my first solo lecturing experience at UNC. I will be teaching STOR 155 Introduction to Data Analysis for Summer Session I.

Started as a TA for a Machine Learning class with Andrew Nobel.

The first meeting of the AYA Cancer Advising Committee, a collaborative effort of mine with Lauren Lux.

Created the BIOSTOR student organization at UNC, a cross-departmental group for Statistics and Biostatistics students.

Started research with Jan Hannig.

Passed my comprehensive written exams!

Started working on my PhD in Statistics & Operations Research at University of NC at Chapel Hill.

Graduated from Bucknell University with a BS in Mathematics.
